Terms & Conditions as of 2023
We take €60 deposit (depsosits) on all orders to secure your date. Deposits are non-refundable & non-transferable. An order is not confirmed until the deposit is paid. Deposits must be paid within 24 hours or you may lose a slot. We cannot hold a date without a retainer.
Balance of your cake order is then payable two weeks before the celebration date, you will receive a reminder payment link. If the cake is ordered in less than two weeks, full payment is required upfront.
Once the deposit is paid you are then confirmed on that date and have agreed to our T&Cs. Any changes in design or quantities in your order we do need to be notified at least three weeks prior to celebration. If this is the case, a new invoice will need to be issued. Please note some charges may occur if items have already been purchased for original order.
Cancellation Policy - *please see in particular reference to Covid Cancellations
If, for any reason, you wish to cancel your order, please note again that deposits are non-refundable & non-transferable*. If it's a case where final payment has been made in the two weeks prior to the collection date and you need to cancel or postpone your occasion, please note your full payment is non-refundable & non-transferable*. (Irrespective of timeframe given). In this case, a completely new booking would need to be made. * The above also applies to cancellations due to implementation of Covid restrictions/Covid Illness.
When a deposit is paid, it is solely for that quote agreed to and cannot be used against any other order or transferred to any offers or treats GCakes may produce. If you have solely purchased from our 'Bespoke Treats' ie. box of cupcakes, please note that full payment is required on all treat items and the above cancellation policy also applies. Full Payment of our 'Bespoke Treats' items cannot be refunded or transferred to another date or occasion regardless of timeline given or reason.
Collection of your cake
Once your cake is collected from our premises, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your cake. We advise that your cake should be transported either in the boot or the floor (not a seat) of your vehicle where it cannot slide or tilt to one side. Excessive heat will cause the cake to melt.
Please ensure your vehicle is cool and have an Aircon on before collection. Once collected, transfer straight away to the fridge when you get home. Please note GCakes takes no responsibility once the cake has left our premises.
How to store your cake
Our cakes have a buttercream or ganache finished and must be STORED IN FRIDGE. On the day of celebration remove your cake from the fridge approx 1/2 hours before serving, longer for Belgian Chocolate Biscuit.
Allergens – these must be notified to us at the time of ordering. Please see our Allergen page. We use dairy, wheat, nuts, barley, eggs, and soy in our kitchen. Our cakes, therefore, aren’t suitable for anyone with allergies.
Thank you
