Children's Decorating Workshops
I'm delighted to announce that from September 2025' I will be launching my Cake Decorating Workshops! We are also available for birthday parties, 'ladies/hen night', corporate or team building!
So let me tell you what my workshops are all about!
Decorating Workshops
From cupcakes, cookies, and cakes our workshops are designed around children's age group & skill set. Each of my workshops are very hands - on and every child will go away with a new found knowledge of cake decorating using very techniques & tools.
Planned seasonal workshops during school holidays are currently in the planning process so do keep an eye in my social media pages. Seasonal Decorating Workshops coming soon!
Who will they cater for?
Each workshop will be tailored to children's needs & skill set. I'll be there to talk & teach them through each process. In turn they how so much fun using their creative minds, learn a new skill & have fun!
Making something with your own hands is so creative & SO rewarding. It's a time to 'wind down' 'be in the moment' and create to their hearts desire!
Most of my workshops will be held on either Saturdays or Sundays depending on availability of venue. I will also host workshops during Mid-Term so do please keep an eye on my social pages for updates!
Please note these are not baking classes. I will supply freshly baked items that they get to bring home. We do not cater for allergens. All items are baked in stored were nuts are stored.
Workshops
Children will get to design their very own sweet creations and bring home a sweet box of handmade delicious treats decorated with their own hands.
We will supply all the necessary utensils, tools to decorate in a theme suited to their wishes & age group! Our Tween & Teen Workshops 9-16 years are slightly more advanced they will learn a range of decorating skills, from piping to using sugar paste, 3D Models & more!
Location
We hold our workshops currently in Malahide Castle Sports Pavilion: Situated right in Malahide Castle Demesne this is such a gorgeous venue! Enjoy a coffee and great food in the gorgeous café or enjoy forest walks exploring castle grounds. Or why not take a stroll down to Malahide Village and do some shopping!

What they will learn?
Coming from a graphic design background, I love all things creative and love to use my hands! Your little ones will have a hands-on decorating experience during my workshops and go away with a new found knowledge & skill!
I will teach them all my sweet decorating tricks! ... from cupcakes, cookies to cakes, modelling using fondant and much more! They will go away with a delicious box of treats that they will have decorated themselves & a proud smile! I will also be giving lots of baking advice & tips!
Using various techniques such as little shapes & cutters like flowers, stars, butterflies etc they will to learn decorating basics like rolling fondant, using molds, cutters, filling piping bags and go away with a new found knowledge & skill.

Looking for a fun, hands-on activity for your child's special day? I can host an exciting cake decorating workshop designed especially for children's birthday. I'll bring everything needed for the activity and guide the children through a creative (and delicious) decorating session.

I'm available on Saturday or a Sunday depending on availability of venue at any given weekend & my own workload.
I do have a minimum of 10 for workshops and limit of 18/20 children, they take approx 1 1/2 - 2 hours depending on age group & what we are creating.
If you wish to hold a Decorating workshop in different venue please do get in contact. Dublin area only, travel charges would occur.

Wow Sinead blew me away with a beautiful cupcake making party at home for my daughter’s birthday. It was absolutely magical from start to finish . Sinead Thought of everything and every detail and the girls had a brilliant time I can’t recommend this party enough ! There was no mess or stress for me whatsoever , Thanks again
My daughters just took part in a JellyCat decorating workshop and loved it. Such a fun afternoon and they learnt lots of new skills to practice at home. Fantastic price especially as they took home 6 decorated cupcakes each! They were so proud to show off their creations after the workshop.
Sinead conducted a cupcake decorating themed birthday party for my daughter and her friends joint 7th bday. From start to finish it was simply magical. With under the sea theme, the girls were able to dive into the magic of creativity and given a space to make and perfect different toppings for cupcakes. The icing on the cake, they got to bring home their proud goods to show their families. They were thrilled.It was a wonderful birthday party and we will continue to recommend Sinead at gcakes.
