Join Sinéad from GCakes in Malahide, for this seasonal high-end teen cake decorating class with premium techniques, fondant & buttercream work using quality materials. I will demo each process step by step, share my top tips & baking knowledge!
Suitable for ages 13-18 years
Embark on a delightful journey into the art of cake decorating your very own mini Bento cake, perfect for indulging in or sharing with loved ones. 'Bento' is a Japanese word that refers to lunch box.
What to expect in class:
- Hands-on, guidance, creative techniques, and a fun, interactive experience
- They will learn how to fill, stack and 'crumb coat' each Bento using their own turntable
- We will create seasonal sugar paste toppers such as pumpkins/acorns & finish with edible Autumn leaves & buttercream swirls
- We will also work with piping bags & how to fill them correctly
- Final decorating part of class we will include exploration of various piping techniques & tips
- Friendly and approachable host
What each student will get:
- A fully decorated 4" two layer Bento cake (worth €35) to take home
- FREE hot chocolate with marshmallows will be provided to each student during the class
- Each Bento will be packaged in Bento-style box so they can be transported easily home
- Each student will receive a 'Cake Decorating Certificate' on completion at end of class
- Students will take home a fully decorated Bento cake and a sense of accomplishment!
This includes all cakes, high-quality decorating materials, and expert instructions.
Please note: No baking is involved; this workshop focuses solely on filling stacking, icing and cake decorating techniques. All skill levels welcome! Questions welcome throughout the class!

Allergens: We do not cater for allergens. All items are made in a kitchen where WHEAT, EGGS, MILK, SOYA & NUTS are handled. See here for more info on Allergens. Nuts are stored & used were baking products are created.
